A Little About Me…

Hey there!

I am a freelance writer and editor with a deeply rooted passion for storytelling.

I’ve interviewed NASA scientists; gone on overnight ghost hunts; been drooled on by giraffes; and toured winemaking facilities, and cannabis manufacturing labs while on assignment. I’ve written about companies that are revolutionizing wellness; about female entrepreneurs; and wildfire survivors.

I was born and raised in the heart of California — the Central Valley. My adventures so far have taken me to more than 20 different countries (and counting) where I have lived, worked, volunteered, traveled, and studied.

I am a graduate of the Erasmus Mundus Master’s in Global Journalism program, where I studied at the Danish School of Journalism, Aarhus University and City University London. I am also a proud alumna of Humboldt State University’s Journalism and Political Science Departments.

Since my first piece was published in “The Lumberjack,” a student-run newspaper, in 2009, I have earned regular and contributing roles in more than 20 print and digital publications. Some of those include: Cannabis Now Media, Sensi Magazine, Hemp Magazine, DOPE Magazine, the Emerald Media Group, Edibles Magazine, PIQD Global, The 209 Magazine, The Central Valley Business Journal, The San Joaquin Magazine, The Current, The North Coast Journal, and more.

I am a founding member of the Walk the Walk Collaborative, a project designed to help grow minority-owned cannabis businesses.

I currently reside in Central California where I specialize in cannabis journalism, and the failed War on Drugs.
